We enjoyed ourselves again on my return visit to this small infant school in Surrey, exploring the subject of prayer, especially the Lord's Prayer, drawing on The Lord's Prayer Unplugged among other activities. We thought about how children are often actually better at praying than grown-ups and made some fabulous statues of different ways of praying: shouting, whispering, saying thank you, please and sorry. We designed 'My Best Friend' statues, too, to think about the
person we're praying to, and one group had time for a quick glance at Martha and Mary and how Mary found time to
listen to Jesus and how happy that made him. I was privileged to see some of the pictures that the classes made of the Lord's Prayer reflective story
afterwards, and to have time to make worship sculptures with the Year 2s, choosing their favourite phrases from the prayer.
